We do not give estimates on restorations of body and paint for the following reasons:

  • There is no way to tell how much labor or parts will be needed for a specific project. Concealed previous repairs and hidden rust damage may not be visible at the beginning of the project.

  • Requests for change and modifications to projects by owners can be made without having to re-negotiate the final price.

  • Job integrity is not compromised by trying to fit repairs and refinish into a specific dollar category.

  • A quality restoration will outlast a mediocre one. Someday, as your classic car or street rod continues to appreciate in value, the vehicle's value and restoration costs could be equal or even less.

At regular intervals we provide to our customers billing invoices which include time summaries, labor records, and photos of work done.

  • The labor record provides information pertaining to your project each day it is worked on.

  • With each invoice, you will also receive a summary of total hours performed for that week.

  • Authenticity is vital to the customer who desires a totally original show car. Through research, documentation, digital photos and phone calls to the right people we unravel the mystery to build it correctly.

There are many determining factors: parts available, quality, type of build, full frame car vs. unibody, original restoration vs restomod, etc.

  • Because of all of these variables, the process is unique to every project and therefore the amount of time before completion will be different as well.

  • A classic car restoration is a meticulous and detail oriented job. It requires an ample amount of patience.

  • Every car needs a specific way of doing restoration, so be prepared to be in this for the long haul.

  • There may also be unexpected downtime involved that can delay the whole process.

  • Sometimes the process can take over a year to complete. So being patient is the key here.

It’s not astonishing for restorations to take more than 1000 hours to complete. Depending on the model of the car, quality of restoration you want, as well as other factors. We will keep you informed to help you manage expectations, so you don't need to worry. Also feel free to visit your car any time to inspect the project. A courtesy call and/or appt is preferred to help our time management.

  • No, it's not possible to know what “under-the-hood” issues your car may have until and unless we dismantle the car.

  • Climate conditions, storage area and how the vehicle was treated when running are some of the factors that determine the condition of the vehicle.

  • There are too many internal components involved to know the condition of the car for sure, only by visually inspecting it.

  • No we do not.

  • Not normally. We use quality vendors that provide warranty work

  • We specialize in special interest vehicle restoration. Total ground up restoration to classic or restomod standards.

  • $75.00 an hour and this is a bargain compared to other shops that charge $90-150 an hour and for far less work done.

Hopefully this has answered any questions our customers may have.
